Visa for Laos

I wrote in an earlier article, that i will get a visa for Laos also in advance.

Well i did some research and asked some people who where there. Despite the info of the travel agent, no visa in advance is needed.

You can get a visa on arrival right at the boarders (overland) or at 1 of the 3 international airports.
The visa will be valid for 30 days and costs about 30$ (depending of your country of origin).

Here is a list, at which boarders you can get the visa on arrival:

• Nong Khai - Vientiane (Friendship Bridge)
• Chiang Khong - Houay Xai
• Nakhorn Phanom - Thakhek
• Mukdahan - Savannakhet (Friendship Bridge)
• Chong Mek - Vangtao

Vietnam - Laos

• Dien Bien Phu - Muang Khoua
• Nameo - SXam Neua
• Nong Het - Ky Son
• Cau Treo - Lak Xao
• Lao Bao - Dan Savan

China - Laos

• Mohan - Boten
